Issue Position

The purpose of government is to protect our rights to life, liberty, and property from other people.

As a candidate for U.S. Congress, I will vote to protect life because I firmly believe that life begins the moment that an egg is fertilized. Consequently, I consider the lives of children inside the womb to be equally as precious as the lives of children outside of the womb.

How is there any debate about when life begins? Simply ask a woman the steps she took to have a child. Throughout history, every woman who has delivered a child began the process by having her egg fertilized. Let's stop playing games with semantics and start working hard to protect the lives of children still in their mothers' wombs.

As your representative in Congress, I will protect life by supporting the "Sanctity of Life Act," which clearly defines life as beginning at the point of conception. By passing the "Sanctity of Life Act," we will effectively prevent judges from defining life as they see fit.

Furthermore, I will oppose any legislation that provides federal funds for abortions. Your conscience as a voter should not be violated by using your tax dollars to support something that you personally abhor.
